In the Safford v. Redding case I believe the school should be held at more fault than the student, Savanna Redding. The school did have probable cause to search the girls personal bag but they crossed a huge line when strip searching her. The fact of the matter that no parent was called leaves the principal, the defendant guilty. I do not believe that he should walk away from this case unharmed. The school clearly violated Savannas 4th amendment right, they did have cause to search her bag and jacket however, the fact that she was a minor and no parent was called, clearly leaves the school at fault.
