The outcome of the case was an acquittal of everyone involved in the case. I disagreed with this I believe the principal needed to be officially reprimanded and to be asked to publicly apologize to the family. The fact that this young girls parents were not notified immediately when they found the contraband in her planner is ridiculous. The strip search should make any sane person trepidate with rage at the violation of this young girl. While I did disagree with the out come of the case I did find it to be a major factor in the creation of student rights legislation. This was a push in the right direction for not just the individual rights of students but every American in the country.
