Safford v. Redding Case What was the outcome of this case? How do you feel with the results of the decision and the repercussions for the defendants?
Both of the defendants were acquitted, meaning no one was found guilty of anything. I feel that this was completely fair for both sides. Under our court systems you are innocent until proven guilty. Neither side had enough evidence to find either one guilty. Their was not enough probable cause for the principal to search the student and their was no concrete evidence to put the principal and faculty at fault. I think the court judges did a great job of upholding the constitution and really analyzing the 4th amendment. This case shows how everyone is innocent until being proven guilty under the law.
