The outcome in the case of Stafford v. Redding was that neither side won. The strip search of the thirteen-year-old girl was inhumane and had violated the girl's Fourth Amendment right. However, the principle, vice principal, and nurse were protected from liability because the law was not clearly established. I believe that the school was in the wrong but due to her previous record of behavior, the vice principal had the right to reasonably search her. I believe that the school learned their lesson and will not seek to strip search another student ever again. The girl at her age does deserve repercussions because she is so young and has a lot more issues that she needs to resolve.
