I believe the case of Safford v. Redding ended correctly with no one winning. Savana Redding did violate school policy and the law by having weapons and pills in her planner. Although she claimed to have no knowledge of the pills in the planner, it is probable cause to try and find these pills. However, the school nurse should of never strip searched her without some sort of permission from parents or the police. It was not a violation of the 4th amendment because the school had probable cause of the knife and the pills. However, the nurse had no right to strip search the 13 year old girl. The defendant and plaintiff both were at fault for some reason so it was only fair that no one won the case.
