This picture is showing a group of people circling around and pointing at the person next to each other. This group of people is the political machine and Tweed in the center. Additionally, there are quotes, “Who stole the people’s money?” and “’Twas him”, on the bottom of the political cartoon. The people in the picture are accusing the person next to them when they were asked a question, “Who stole the people’s money?” Since the Tammany Hall only supports those who support them, the author dislikes Tammany Hall. Tweed and the political machine provide jobs, houses, and money for their supporters. Therefore, they took job opportunities for other people. They took away money as well.
