In the political cartoon “Political Bosses”, there is a quote at the bottom of the picture stating, “Who Stole The People’s Money?”. The political bosses would use the people’s money to fund their own business endeavors. All of the men are pointing at one another. This shows that none of the bosses owned up to the corruption they had committed. All of the men are dressed up nicely, sowing that they were part of the upper class. The names on the back of their coats are the last name and company names of the people who participated in the political machines and their corruption. The floor says “Tammany Ring”. This indicates that all of the men in the circle are part of the never ending cycle of corruption. The artist disapproves of the corrupt actions that the men take part of.
