An issue that struck me was the minimum wage. Governor Christie claimed that he's for a raise in the minimum wage over a span of 3 years, however, he doesn't believe that there should be a "guaranteed raise every year regardless of a workers performance or business they work for" because it could possibly end up costing 31,000 jobs in NJ. This would make sure that the people receiving wage increases are the people going to work every day that truly deserve it. This is an important issue to citizens of NJ because it is a very expensive place to live and it is very difficult to live off of a minimum wage salary.
