After watching the debate between Governor Chris Christie and Barbara Buono I am intrigued by a various amount of topics. First, the issue of the budget cuts. Christie, during his time in office, has significantly decreased the New Jersey budget by cutting education and home state rebates. Although Buono and others believe cutting education is a mistake, but faced with the same question, their budget cut plan only cuts the budget by a fraction of what Christie was able to do. Another topic that interested me was the issue on raising the minimum wage from $7.25 to $7.50. I believe that the minimum wage should be raised because right now it is just not enough money to sustain a healthy standard of living. The rise in the minimum wage would help families be able to live better. From watching the debate it was easy to see that Christie dominated over Buono tremendously. Many people that I know don't even know who Buono is at all and strongly believe Christie will be back as governor of New Jersey.
