1. In this political cartoon, the lions stand for the powerful companies in 1904 and in this case, Wall Street. 2. The lions are coming out of a door named "Wall St." because that was one of the big companies that were becoming unfair and too powerful. They needed to be "tamed" by Roosevelt. 3. I think that the cartoonist thinks that trust-busting is a good thing and should continue to be done. Roosevelt is depicted as the tamer and has a whip which symbolizes having control. The tile "The Lion Tamer" also indicates that he likes it because the lions (Wall Street) are being tamed to be more fair.
