1. The lions symbolize the powerful companies of 1904. They do not agree with Roosevelt and are trying yo take down Roosevelt. If Roosevelt "tames" the lions, the lions will force the companies to use fair practices in their companies. 2. The lions are coming out of the door that is labeled wall st. because they lions are actually the CEO's of the companies from wall st. 3. The cartoonist agrees with trustbusting. He shows Roosevelt as a strong and brave man in the cartoon, who is doing the right thing for the public interest. A lion-tamer needs to be strong enough to take down all the lions, which os what Roosevelt did. The cartoonist agrees with trustbusting because the unfair practices that they use are wrong.
